Understanding settlements
What a settlement is, how it differs from a transfer, and how it's processed.
A settlement is a request to move value out of your Zelo balance and into an external destination — a UPI ID or a USDT TRC20 address.
How it differs from a transfer
A transfer moves value to another Zelo account. A settlement moves value out of Zelo entirely. Settlements involve manual review and a fee.
Status flow
- pending — your request is in the queue
- processing — an admin is working on it
- completed — your payout is on its way (with an external reference)
- rejected — refunded back to your balance with a reason
Holds, not deductions
When you request a settlement, your balance is debited immediately. If the request is rejected, the full amount is refunded — there's no path to lose value to a rejected request.
